Moscow Format meeting on Afghanistan to take place on November 16 — envoy

The Moscow Format includes Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. The next meeting of the Moscow consultations format on Afghanistan will take place on November 16, Russian Special Presidential envoy on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov told TASS Tuesday.

"On November 16," he said, answering a question.

Earlier, Kabulov said that the delegation of the interim government, established by the Taliban movement (outlawed in Russia) will not take part in the Moscow Format meeting on Afghanistan.

The Moscow Format includes Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The previous meeting took place on October 20 last year. It was attended by the Taliban interim government delegation led by Abdul Salam Hanafi.
