Russia never received definite US proposals to organize meeting of two presidents

Russia has not received any concrete proposals regarding this issue, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said

SAN FRANCISCO, November 5. /TASS/. The United States did not provide Russia with any concrete proposals regarding a possible organization of a meeting between presidents of two countries to discuss Ukraine as well as other key issues on the global agenda, Russian Ambassador to the United States said on Saturday.

"We have not received any concrete proposals regarding this issue," Antonov said speaking to journalists during his work visit to the State of California.

US President Joe Biden hinted in early October on a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin within the framework of the upcoming numerous international summits. However, Biden signaled later that he was not initiating such contact. The US president said that he did not plan to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G20 summit, but believed that this would depend on what the Russian leader would want to discuss.

US officials state in particular that contacts between the United States and Russia at the G20 summit, scheduled to be held in Indonesia between November 15 and 16, are not on the agenda.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on October 28 that Biden was not seeking to hold a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Putin on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Indonesia.
