Ukrainian military’s hunt after Russian journalists is blatant violation of human rights

Russia has repeatedly submitted draft resolutions with the OSCE Ministerial Council on the issue of journalists’ safety, Grigory Lukyantsev said

UNITED NATIONS, November 5. /TASS/. Ukrainian authorities’ calls for violence in regard to Russian journalists working in the area of the special military operation is an outrageous act of human rights violations, a high-ranking official with the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

"The issue of journalists’ safety is always raised by us in the United Nations and the OSCE [the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe]," Russian Foreign Ministry Envoy for Human Rights, Democracy and Supremacy of Law, Deputy Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights Grigory Lukyantsev told journalists.

"Russia has repeatedly submitted draft resolutions with the OSCE Ministerial Council on the issue of journalists’ safety," he continued. "We believe that such actions [calls for violence against Russian journalists], as well as calls to set rewards for heads of journalists are simply an outrageous violation, which must be immediately dealt with.".
