Russia to facilitate further consolidation within SCO, PM says
Mikhail Mishustin thanked Beijing for arranging the meeting and wished success to his Kyrgyz counterpart who would take over the council’s chairmanship
MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Moscow will work to facilitate further consolidation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government on Tuesday.
"Russia will provide the necessary support in terms of enriching the content of trade and economic cooperation and facilitating further consolidation within the SCO," he pointed out.
Mishustin thanked Beijing for arranging the meeting and wished success to his Kyrgyz counterpart who would take over the council’s chairmanship.
The SCO is an international organization founded in 2001. The organization currently includes Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as its members. Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia are SCO observers, while Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Egypt, Nepal, Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners.
