Putin highlights Russia’s ‘special’ relations with India
Economically and morally, India took huge steps in its development and it certainly has a bright future, Russian President said
MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Moscow and New Delhi have never had any difficult issues with each other, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on Thursday.
"We maintain special relations with India, based on decades-long close ties. We have never had any <...> difficult issues with India, we have always only supported each other. This is what things are like now and I am sure it will continue like that in the future," the head of state noted.
"Economically and morally, India took huge steps in its development and it certainly has a bright future," Putin noted. He stressed that economic cooperation and trade between Russia and India were growing. In addition, the two countries also maintained defense cooperation.
"I believe that countries such as India have a bright future and their role in international affairs will grow," Putin emphasized.
