Vladimir Putin noted that Ukraine’s "pseudo-patriots", driven not even by the ideas of nationalism, but by their own selfish economic interests, "spare nobody in their fight with Russia to the last Ukrainian"

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army’s losses on the battlefield are sometimes seven to ten times greater than Russia’s, President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary meeting of the Valdai international discussion club on Thursday.

"Their (Ukrainian army’s - TASS) losses are sometimes ten to one or eight to one [in contrast to Russia’s]. I am talking about this with regret. Lately, the losses were almost always seven to one or eight to one. They do not spare their men at all. Are those who let such things happen real patriots of their country? They are pushing ahead with this without ever looking back or stopping to think," Putin said.

Putin noted that Ukraine’s "pseudo-patriots", driven not even by the ideas of nationalism, but by their own selfish economic interests, "spare nobody in their fight with Russia to the last Ukrainian."

"This plague of nationalism is tenacious. Many prefer not to notice that it is tightly pegged neo-Nazism. And this, of course, is a huge problem for the current Ukrainian regime itself, and for those who support it, of course. But we cannot afford to pay no attention to this. We will always be pointing at it as one of the root causes of today's crisis," Putin added.
