Most dangerous and important decade since WWII lies ahead, Putin says
According to the head of state, the global situation at the moment "is a revolutionary one to a certain extent", it is fraught with a series of conflicts that will pose a threat to all mankind
MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. The world is now at a historic crossroads, with the most dangerous and important decade since World War II looming, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, addressing a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on Thursday.
"We have arrived at a historic juncture. Perhaps, the most dangerous, unpredictable and, at the same time, the most important decade since the end of World War II lies ahead," he emphasized.
According to the head of state, the global situation at the moment "is a revolutionary one to a certain extent", it is fraught with a series of conflicts that will pose a threat to all mankind. Finding a constructive solution to this contradiction is the main historic challenge today, the president noted.
When forming a future world order, in Putin’s words, every point of view, every system of thinking and ideas needs to be taken into account, without trying to impose a single truth. "And only on this basis, understanding its responsibility for the fate of nations, the planet builds a symphony of human civilization," he said.
