MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Put in does not plan to have a phone call with his US counterpart Joe Biden now that Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had a conversation with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.

"No, it is not on the agenda," the spokesman said if a Putin-Biden call has been planned.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Shoigu discussed current international security affairs, including the situation in Ukraine, with Austin. The two Defense Ministers previously talked on May 13, also discussing the situation in Ukraine.

Putin and Biden previously had a phone call on February 12. Before that, the two presidents talked in the end of last year. They met in-person in June 2021 in Geneva.
