Putin, Turkish president to discuss Ukraine issue on Oct 13 — Kremlin

MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana on October 13.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday that Putin and Erdogan would discuss Moscow-Ankara relations and the Ukraine issue.

"There’s some certainty, preparations for a meeting are underway," Peskov said, adding that the meeting would be held on Thursday.

According to the Russian presidential spokesman, the meeting’s agenda includes "Ukraine and bilateral relations, which are quite multifaceted, as well as a general exchange of views on the current developments."

Kremlin Aide Yury Ushakov said in early September that Putin planned to take part in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia scheduled for October 12-14, as well as in a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and a Central Asia - Russia meeting.

Erdogan earlier also announced plans to meet with the Russian leader in the coming days.
