ANKARA, October 11. /TASS/. Ankara hopes that a meeting between Turkish and Russian presidents, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin, may take place in Astana on October 12, the France-Presse news agency quoted a Turkish official as saying on Tuesday.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, did not rule out the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Erdogan on the sidelines of a Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Astana.
Peskov also said on Monday that Putin planned to hold a series of bilateral contacts in Astana this week on the sidelines of the CICA and a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
