YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, October 7. /TASS/. Moscow won’t accept attempts to introduce conflict-ridden concepts in the Asia-Pacific Region, such as the US Indo-Pacific Strategy against China and Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
"We do not accept attempts to exert external pressure, to implement conflict-ridden concepts in the Asia-Pacific region, such as the Indo-Pacific Strategy imposed by Washington, which has a pronounced anti-Chinese undertone and is aimed at isolating Russia," he said, speaking by video link, addressing a meeting of the United Russia party’s commission at an international forum on environmental policies and sustainable development
Lavrov explained that this strategy implies the creation of closed military blocs and the gradual destruction of mechanisms of interaction in the region.
