Russia, US must maintain cooperation in sphere of arms control, says ambassador

Confidence and security-building measures are in the national interests of the peoples of Russia and the United States, as well as the whole world, said Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Moscow believes it is important to keep maintaining cooperation with Washington in the sphere of arms control, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said in a televised interview with Russia’s Channel One.

"A significance of cooperation in the sphere of arms control between two major nuclear powers is obvious for us," Antonov said. "Measures of confidence-building and security are in the national interests of the peoples of Russia and the United States as well as of the whole world.".
