Senior diplomat points to volatile security situation along Russian borders

At the US initiative and contrary to Russia’s efforts, outer space and the information space are being militarized

MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. Moscow observers growing conflict potential in various regions of the world and the situation along the entire perimeter of the Russian borders remains extremely volatile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said at a session of the Trialogue International Club on Wednesday.

"In particular, we observe growing conflict potential in the Asia-Pacific region and the situation along the entire perimeter of the Russian borders, in the Middle East and South Asia remains very volatile," the senior Russian diplomat pointed out.

At the US initiative and contrary to Russia’s efforts, outer space and the information space are being militarized, the high-ranking Russian diplomat said.

"In the context of the West’s efforts to impose its rules, the culture of diplomatic dialogue and the search for compromises has deteriorated substantially," Ryabkov emphasized.
