Maduro’s visit to Russia requires practical filling – Russian Foreign Ministry
According to the Russian department, work in this direction is underway
ST. PETERSBURG, June 19. /TASS/. The visit of Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro to Russia requires practical filling and the parties are working on that, Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Schetinin told TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"Mr. Maduro is always the welcome guest in Russia," the diplomat said. "The visit should be prepared definitely, with specific agreements to be reached, and we are working on that. The topic is not in the practical aspect now but it does not mean that it cannot be set some time in the future," he noted.
Moscow and Caracas have the extensive agenda at present, discussed "at different levels, including high ones," Schetinin said. "When it will be recognized as necessary and both parties will agree that arrangements, specific projects require confirmation at the top political level, there will be no problems with that," he added.
