ST. PETERSBURG, June 16. /TASS/. Germany, just as the US, carried out military biological research in Ukrainian laboratories, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday.

"When horrible facts were uncovered on what kind of military biological activity the Americans were conducting in Ukraine, and not only the Americans, also the Germans - three dozen laboratories in fifteen Ukrainian cities were at a very advanced stage of developing highly hazardous pathogens and experimented on people - our State Duma and Federation Council created a special commission that will investigate these facts," the Russian top diplomat noted.

"We invited the US representatives to come there and participate in these hearings, especially since US Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland at the hearings in the US Congress said that these laboratories contained information that shouldn’t ‘fall into Russian hands.’ We think that certainly a sincere conversation is needed here," he concluded.
