DPR offers Syria to participate in tribunal for Ukrainian war criminals — Foreign Ministry

DONETSK, June 16. /TASS/. DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova at a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad suggested that he consider the Arab republic's participation in an international tribunal for Ukrainian war criminals, the DPR Foreign Ministry’s press service reported on Thursday.
"Today, on June 16, the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad met with the delegation of the Donetsk People's Republic headed by Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova. <...> The minister suggested that Mr. al-Assad consider the possibility of participation of the Syrian Arab Republic in an international tribunal over Ukrainian servicemen accused of committing crimes against the Donbass residents," a message posted on the department's Telegram channel said.
Earlier, DPR head Denis Pushilin said that the Ukrainian nationalists should be tried by a tribunal, and did not rule out that the hypothetical tribunal would become international. It was also reported that the necessary documents, including the charter, were being prepared.
