Senior Russian diplomat, US ambassador discuss bilateral agenda — Foreign Ministry

According to John Sullivan, the US and Russia are unlikely to have a more productive relationship in the current atmosphere

MOSCOW, June 10./TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov discussed certain issues on the bilateral agenda at a meeting with US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan on Friday.

"On June 10, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov met with US Ambassador in Moscow John Sullivan. They discussed some issues on the bilateral agenda," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The United States and Russia are unlikely to have a more productive relationship in the current atmosphere, John Sullivan said in an interview with TASS earlier.

"I hesitate to make a prediction that Russia and the US are never going to have a more productive relationship. What I can’t say is how long it is going to take. In the current atmosphere, it is not happening," he said, when asked if there was a chance that relations between the two countries would get better any time soon.
