MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/. The Kremlin respects DPR leader Denis Pushilin’s decision to reshuffle the government of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"We respect the DPR leader’s decision," Peskov said, adding that Moscow expected the new members of government to help step up efforts to revive the region.

Asked if the new appointments in the Donbass republics, including of former Russian officials, were coordinated with the Kremlin, Peskov said that "an exchange of opinions had taken place."

Future appointments in the liberated Ukrainian regions will be made via elections, Peskov predicted. The appointments "will depend on the choice of the people living in the liberated regions," he said, answering a question about whether Russian officials can take government posts in the liberated Ukrainian regions. "We are living in a world, where nothing can be ruled out," he added.

On Wednesday, Pushilin signed a decree, dismissing the prime minister and the government. The republic’s parliament at an extraordinary meeting approved Vitaly Khotsenko, a former Russian Industry and Trade Ministry official, as the new premier.

Leonid Pasechnik, leader of the Lugansk People’s Republic, on Thursday appointed ex-Deputy Governor of Russia’s Kurgan Region Vladislav Kuznetsov First Deputy Chairman of the LPR’s government.
