MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Russia discovered many discrepancies in the reports that Ukraine sent regarding the Biological Weapons Convention, Russian Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection troops head Igor Kirillov stated Friday.

"Furthermore, numerous discrepancies are present in reports sent by Ukraine. For example, total absence of biological protection programs were declared in the Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) A. At the same time, the Kiev Research Institute of Institute of Biotechnology and Strains of Microorganisms is named as biological protection program participant in part 2.i of this form," Kirillov noted.

According to Kirillov, declared specifications of the object, including laboratories area and staff size, do not correspond with information filed by Ukraine earlier.

"A question arises: why did reports filed by the US and Ukraine to the UN did not include operations within joint project, codenamed UP? Such secrecy is a reason to consider the Pentagon’s true goals in Ukraine," he underscored.
