Medvedev says ‘Polish-Prussian’ alliance would benefit if Ukraine ceases to exist
He pointed to a statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that Germany wouldn’t accept a "peace treaty imposed by Russia," which is the same view that Ukraine is holding
MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, on Thursday said that an alliance of Germany and Poland that’s escalating the situation around Ukraine would benefit if that country disappeared from the map.
He pointed to a statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz that Germany wouldn’t accept a "peace treaty imposed by Russia," which is the same view that Ukraine is holding.
"Why does Scholz need Ukraine? You don't have to look far for an answer. The Polish-Prussian alliance, which is escalating the situation with all its might and pushing the deranged Zelensky to increasingly more catastrophic statements and actions, would benefit a lot if the state of Ukraine disappears from the map," Medvedev said. "There will be unattended factories, crop land, coalmines, strategic expanse and human resources."
"I remember that someone already talked along the same lines at the end of the 1930, in the same language and with the same ardor. How it ended is well known," the official said.
