MFA urges to ignore statements by Zelensky about meeting with Putin

Maria Zakharova also said that "Kiev has interrupted negotiations that sought to resolve the situation in Ukraine and hasn’t yet responded to Russian proposals for the text of the draft treaty from April 15"

MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Wednesday urged to ignore statements by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about his readiness to meet only with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discuss only a halt of the conflict.

"It’s impossible to comment on what is coming out of Zelensky every day," she said at a news conference. "I don’t know who he was sharing that with and why he said that. I think one needs to ignore that."

Zakharova also said that "Kiev has interrupted negotiations that sought to resolve the situation in Ukraine and hasn’t yet responded to Russian proposals for the text of the draft treaty from April 15."
