Russia is forming package of papers for UN investigation of bio labs in Ukraine — diplomat

It will be hefty, comprehensive and including enough materials, testimonies, evidence, making it possible to raise a question of initiation of such investigation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov pointed out

MOSCOW, May 16. /TASS/. Russia is forming a package of documents to launch an official investigation of the military biological activities in Ukraine shortly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Monday, speaking before a parliamentary commission regarding the probe of US biolabs in Ukraine.

"We have an intention to start moving towards launching an official investigation, initiated by the UN Security Council. It is indeed so. It will happen shortly. We are now forming the package of necessary documents," the senior diplomat said.

"We have no doubts that it will be hefty, comprehensive and including enough materials, testimonies, evidence, making it possible to raise a question of initiation of such investigation," Ryabkov said.

Russia’s opponents will show themselves to be disreputable players at the UN Security Council platform, should they try to impede the investigation.

"Should our adversaries, our opponents begin to gum up the works, out of political or geopolitical reasons, it will only expose them as dishonest players on the UN Security Council platform, driven by goals and considerations that have nothing to do with the task of reinforcing security or seeking the truth," he concluded.
