Western opposition should not stop Russia from completing its operation in Ukraine — envoy

Dmitry Polyansky called it a criminal tactic for the West to conduct a "proxy war" in Ukraine

MOSCOW, May 16. /TASS/. Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said on Monday that the West's conduct of an indirect war in Ukraine should not prevent Russia from completing the special military operation and fulfilling its tasks.

The diplomat called it a criminal tactic for the West to conduct a "proxy war" in Ukraine. "I think this should not prevent us from completing our special operation in Ukraine and achieving the goals that were set for it," he said during a Channel One broadcast.

"We have no other way out, our cause is right, and we will of course win," he concluded.
