Collective West was unable to find traitors among Russian diplomats — Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister underscored that Russian diplomats continue to fulfill their professional duties, faithfully and in full
MOSCOW, May 14. /TASS/. Western states were unable to find traitors among Russian diplomats, although such attempts were made, both inside Russia and abroad, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Saturday.
"They were unable to find traitors among diplomats, although such attempts were made; they were made from abroad, and within our country as well," the Minister said.
Lavrov underscored that Russian diplomats continue to fulfill their professional duties, faithfully and in full, in accordance with the demands of the time.
He pointed out that Russian Foreign Ministry does everything it can to protect rights and interests of compatriots abroad.
"When the West reacted hysterically to the beginning of the special military operation [in Ukraine], when all flights were simply cancelled, we, acting in an emergency mode, provided all necessary cooperation in repatriation of our citizens who found themselves abroad at the moment," Lavrov said. "Our duties on consular service for Russian citizens also remain, they have always been plenty.".
