According to preliminary results, Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is winning the May 9 elections by a landslide with more than 31 million votes
MOSCOW, May 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on winning the Philippines presidential election, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday.
"I expect that your activity as head of state will help further promote the constructive cooperation between Russia and the Philippines in various spheres," Putin said in his telegram.
According to preliminary results, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the son and namesake of the late dictator, is winning the May 9 elections by a landslide with more than 31 million votes.
