Russian bank may open in Kherson region in late May — authorities
According to head of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov, the bank can be integrated from the People's Republic of Donetsk
SIMFEROPOL, May 11. /TASS/. A Russian bank may open in the Kherson region of Ukraine in late May, head of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremuosov told a press conference on Wednesday.
"We must fully switch to rubles. In the coming weeks, a bank may open in the Kherson region," he said adding that the bank will appear until the end of May.
According to Stremousov, the bank can be integrated from the People's Republic of Donetsk.
On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the sovereignty of the People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. On February 24, Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to an appeal from the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. At present, part of their territories is already under the control of Russia, including the Kherson region, where peaceful life is gradually being restored.
