MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. Russia is convinced that it cannot rely on Western nations in strategically important spheres, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV on Friday.

"We have made our key choice: we cannot rely on the West in anything, especially in the spheres of economy, technologies, food, other daily needs, which are of strategic importance. We will never say that we won’t maintain relations with anyone," he said. "If people understand that they were misled and were wrong, we will try to resume relations in the future. Anyway, we should be self-reliant in the key spheres of life.".
