Kremlin says Putin updated Angola on its goals in Ukraine
The two presidents agreed to maintain contacts at various levels
MOSCOW, April 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone call with his Angolan counterpart Joao Lourenco to update him on the causes and goals of Moscow’s special operation in Ukraine, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday.
"At Joao Lourenco’s request, Vladimir Putin updated him on the causes and goals of the special military operation aimed at protecting the Donbass republics, and gave a principled assessment of the latest developments in negotiations with the Ukrainian side," the press service said in a statement.
The two sides said they were satisfied with the current level of friendship between Russia and Angola, the statement reads. "Both affirmed the determination to continue developing these contacts, and propel mutually advantageous cooperation with regards to the economy, research and technology," the Kremlin added.
