Duma Council sets up groups for relations with DPR and LPR parliaments — speaker
Vyacheslav Volodin stressed that the parliamentarians need to develop relations not only through the specialized committees, "but also within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation"
MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Duma Council decided at a meeting on Monday to set up deputy groups for liaison with the parliaments of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.
"The Council of the State Duma decided to create deputy groups for liaison with the parliaments of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, headed by deputies Dmitry Sablin and Viktor Vodolatsky," Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.
He stressed that the parliamentarians need to develop relations not only through the specialized committees, "but also within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation."
Volodin also noted that now is "the moment of truth" for all Russians. "Love for the Motherland and its betrayal are not abstract concepts, but concrete actions," he stressed.
As Volodin added, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov "together with his fellow countrymen, National Guard units from the Chechen Republic, has been in Donbass since the beginning of the special military operation." "Now he is in Mariupol. A heroic man. Participates in the liberation of the city from the Azov neo-Nazis," Volodin stressed.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass, decided to conduct a special military operation. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow's plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories; the goal was the demilitarization and denazification of the country. After that, the US, EU, and UK, as well as several other states, announced that they were imposing sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities.
