MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The statements by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski that Warsaw is open to the deployment of US nuclear weapons on its territory may lead to a continued escalation of tensions on the continent, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Monday.
"Proposed actions, of course, may lead to the further escalation of tension on the continent," the Kremlin official said commenting on the corresponding statement.
According to the spokesman, lately, the policy of Poland’s leadership in general "causes deep concern." "The policy is extremely belligerent, anti-Russian," he stressed.
In an interview with Germany’s Welt am Sonntag published on April 3, Kaczynski said that Poland was open to stationing American nuclear weapons on its territory. He also urged to create a new NATO command center in the country.
