According to the source, the Taliban dismissed Afghanistan’s ambassador Said Tayeb Jawad, appointed by the previous administration, to replace him with charge d’affairs Jamal Garwal
MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Diplomat Jamal Garwal, appointed by Afghanistan’s Taliban movement (outlawed in Russia) as its charge d’affairs in Moscow, may take office soon, an Afghan source told TASS on Monday.
"Garwal will take the position of Afghanistan’s charge d’affairs in Moscow within days," the source said.
According to the source, the Taliban dismissed Afghanistan’s ambassador Said Tayeb Jawad, appointed by the previous administration, to replace him with charge d’affairs Garwal.
On March 31, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the first diplomat the Taliban delegated to Moscow had received the Russian Foreign Ministry’s accreditation.
