The Russian Investigative Committee will check the facts of the Ukrainian military's brutal treatment of Russian prisoners of war, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed
MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Those who participated in the torture of captive Russian Armed Forces servicemen in Ukraine should be prosecuted and answer for their actions, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"Those who participated in this torture should be prosecuted, and they should be held accountable for their deeds," the Kremlin spokesman commented on footage of the Ukrainian military's brutal treatment of Russian prisoners of war.
According to Peskov, the Kremlin "certainly saw" this video. "These facts, as well as the others, will be checked. You know that our Investigative Committee has taken up this. Quite monstrous footage. Certainly, they need a legal assessment," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
