Biden must explain his son’s involvement in biolabs operation in Ukraine — Duma speaker
Vyacheslav Volodin believes that the US president is now "obliged to explain to the world community the evidence concerning the activity of biological laboratories discovered in the course of the military operation in Ukraine"
MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden must provide explanations regarding his son Hunter’s involvement in the operation of biological laboratories in Ukraine, Russia’s State Duma speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin, said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.
"US President Joe Biden himself is involved in the creation of biolaboratories in Ukraine. An investment fund run by his sun Hunter Biden funded research and the implementation of the United States’ military biological program. It is obvious that Joe Biden, as his father and the head of state, was aware of that activity," Volodin said.
He believes that the US president is now "obliged to explain to the world community the evidence concerning the activity of biological laboratories discovered in the course of the military operation in Ukraine."
"The US Congress must conduct its own investigation," Volodin believes.
He stresses that involved in the same program was the fund of the "notorious mastermind of color revolutions, George Soros, who openly calls for changing government in our country."
"This issue will be promptly examined by a special parliamentary inquiry into the circumstances of the creation of biological laboratories in Ukraine by US specialists," Volodin said.
Earlier, the State Duma and the Federation Council adopted a resolution to launch a parliamentary investigation of biological laboratories in Ukraine and to create a joint panel for such an inquiry. Earlier, Volodin said that US Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland should be one of the first to be questioned within the framework of the parliamentary inquiry.
Biolabs issue
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov earlier said that Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine produced evidence the regime in Kiev had urgently eliminated traces of a US Department of Defense-funded military biological program in Ukraine. Ukrainian laboratories’ staffers testified that on February 24 pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases were urgently eliminated.
The chief of Russia’s radiation, chemical and biological protection forces, Igor Kirillov said on Thursday that the Hunter Biden-governed Rosemont Seneca Thornton investment fund and Soros Fund had been involved in financing the biological laboratories in Ukraine.
US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, while testifying before the US Senate’s foreign relations committee on March 9, acknowledged that in Ukraine there were some facilities conducting clandestine biological research and Washington was keen to prevent Russian forces from gaining control of these facilities. She said the US Department of State was "quite concerned that Russian troops, Russian forces, may be seeking to gain control of [those labs], so we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces." The Russian Defense Ministry said that in fact it was a confirmation of the Pentagon’s involvement in military-biological programs in Ukraine.
In the meantime, US Department of State spokesperson Ned Price denied that the US controlled chemical or biological laboratories in Ukraine.
