Some 181,500 refugees from Donbass, Ukraine arrive in Russia
According to the representative of the power structures, there are almost 48,000 children among the arrivals as well as over 12,000 foreigners holding citizenship of third countries
MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Over 181,000 refugees have arrived in Russia from Donbass and Ukraine, including 162,500 residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) whose evacuation began on February 18, a representative of the power structures told TASS on Sunday.
"As of March 6, the Russian border has been crossed by 181,500 people, 162,500 have arrived from the DPR and LPR since February 18. Another 20,000 people were evacuated from Ukraine via checkpoints of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk Regions and Crimea," the representative said.
According to him, there are almost 48,000 children among the arrivals as well as over 12,000 foreigners holding citizenship of third countries.
The source specified that over 18,300 people evacuated from the DPR and LPR, half of them children, are at temporary accommodation facilities in 25 regions.
