Disconnection from SWIFT will not affect servicing of VTB clients in Russia — bank

Transfers to individual clients of VTB overseas are already unavailable at the moment due to sanctions, the bank said

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. The decision of the European Union to cut VTB from SWIFT will not affect servicing of clients inside Russia, the press service of VTB told TASS.

At the same time, transfers to individual clients of VTB overseas are already unavailable at the moment due to sanctions, the bank said.

"Disconnection from the SWIFT system will not affect at all servicing of VTB clients on the territory of our country," VTB said. "The decision on disconnection from SWIFT does not change the current situation with international transfers by corporate clients, to whom the bank has promptly given and continues giving all required current recommendations on making such payments," the bank added.

Promsvyazbank was ready for the disconnection from SWIFT and continues smooth operation and services for clients, the bank’s press service told TASS. "Promsvyazbank continues working without interruption and servicing its clients. New sanctions will not significantly affect operations of the bank," it said.

Disconnection of Otkritie bank from SWIFT will influence on payments to foreign counterparties and the bank recommends its corporate clients to refrain from any operations in dollars and euro, the bank’s press service told TASS. All services in Russian rubles continue as usual, the bank added.
