Safety becomes major imperative in present-day world — Putin

The pandemic has become a reminder of how fragile the community is, the head of state stressed

SOCHI, October 21. /TASS/. Safety has become a major imperative in the world today, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on Thursday.

"Let me repeat, safety is one of the basic imperatives. In any case, this has become obvious today," the Russian president said.

The pandemic has become a reminder of how fragile the community is, the head of state stressed.

"The coronavirus infection pandemic has become a new reminder of how fragile and vulnerable our community is. Providing for an individual’s safe existence and stress resistance are becoming the man task. In order to raise the chance for survival amid cataclysms, it will be necessary to rethink how our life is organized, how the dwelling is arranged, how cities develop or must develop and what the priorities of whole states’ economic development are," the Russian president added.
