Putin’s personal contacts restricted now but work pace is unaffected — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov explained that the Russian President works remotely now in a well-established manner

MOSCOW, September 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s contacts with his inner circle is as restricted as possible now after the leader was forced to go into self-isolation due to COVID-19 cases among people he works with but it does not slow down Putin’s working schedule, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"Indeed, personal contacts are as restricted as possible now," he said. "However, it does not narrow down these contacts or slow down his working schedule." Peskov explained that Putin works remotely now in a well-established manner. "So, it essentially doesn’t change anything," he added.

Peskov said that the president is getting tested as necessary. "Specialists and doctors are doing everything needed in this situation," he concluded.

On Tuesday, Putin said that he would self-isolate due to coming in contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases in his inner circle.
