The Ukrainian Foreign Minister continues to dig up insurmountable tranches between Ukraine and Russia as well as Ukraine’s main territory and its southeast, Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev noted

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Konstantin Kosachev has branded the statement made by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who claimed that Russians cannot be considered one of the indigenous peoples in Ukraine, irresponsible and accused the minister of fanning the flames of hatred between the two nations.

"What Kuleba says is nothing but inciting ethnic hatred in their own country and continuing to dig up insurmountable tranches between Ukraine and Russia as well as Ukraine’s main territory and its southeast," Kosachev told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"These are completely irresponsible statements because if you follow this logic then let’s say Germans, Italians and French cannot be considered indigenous to Switzerland or Swedes to Finland. I recall that Swedish is the second state language there," the senator added, slamming this logic as "a completely false principle."

Kuleba on Wednesday said that Russians are not native to Ukraine.
