Lavrov to meet India’s deputy foreign minister on February 17

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will hold a meeting in Moscow Wednesday as part of bilateral political consultations.

"On February 17, another round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries on a wide range of issues of the bilateral and international agendas will take place in Moscow. India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will be received by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Moreover, Harsh Vardhan Shringla will also have meetings with Lavrov’s deputies, Igor Morgulov and Sergei Ryabkov.

The Russian embassy in India earlier told TASS that the upcoming visit will make it possible to determine the vectors to develop strategic partnership between the two countries for 2021, including preparations of meeting at the high and highest level. The parties will also discuss the BRICS summit scheduled for the second half of 2021 and which will be chaired by India.
