MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will have talks with United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen on February 18, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Monday.

"Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will have a meeting with United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen on February 18," she said.

"It is planned to discuss issues of political settlement in the context of the work of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva and the results of an international meeting on Syria in Sochi on February 17-18," she noted.

Lavrov’s previous meeting with Pedersen was held in November 2020.
