Russian embassy in Kiev slams Ukraine’s lack of desire to revive ties
The embassy added that the Donbass conflict should be resolved peacefully and in accordance with the Minsk Agreements
KIEV, February 10. /TASS/. Kiev is not taking any reciprocal steps to revive relations with Russia, reads the statement published on the website of the Russian embassy in Ukraine Wednesday.
"We are engaged in a consistent policy to revive constructive dialogue with Kiev and stir Russian-Ukrainian relations out of a crisis. Unfortunately, there has been no reciprocal movement from the Ukrainian side yet to observe," the statement reads.
The embassy added that the Donbass conflict should be resolved peacefully and in accordance with the Minsk Agreements. "We are calling on the Ukrainian partners to abandon steps to disrupt them [Minsk Agreements], show political will and launch direct substantive dialogue with the leadership of unrecognized republics. For its part, being a member of the Normandy Four and a mediator at the Minsk talks, Russia intends to provide the necessary cooperation to normalize the situation in the Donbass Region," the statement reads.
Moreover, the diplomatic mission underscored that Russia "resolutely rejects policies of blackmail and threats.".
