Kremlin warns Navalny squad over disseminating calls for unauthorized activities
Blogger Alexey Navalny’s team members earlier announced putting off rallies for the spring
MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Disseminating calls for illegal activities violates the law, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmiry Peskov reminded reporters on Friday, when commenting on statements made by blogger Alexey Navalny’s team members about putting off rallies for the spring.
"Regardless of any specific statement but generally, our position is no secret: announcing illegal actions and illicit activities runs counter to the law," the press secretary stressed.
At the same time, Peskov emphasized that "there are certain procedures to authorize various activities that can be employed within the legal field." "In this case, I’m not entitled to issue verdicts on this score, I’m just talking about an overall approach," the spokesman explained, when asked how the Kremlin viewed the Navalny team’s game plan.
