Illegal rallies create lots of trouble for Russians, Kremlin believes
During Moscow's January 23 rally in support of blogger Alexey Navalny, almost 2,000 people were apprehended
MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. The recent unauthorized rallies created a lot of trouble for Russian citizens, especially for those who found themselves involved, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
"The recent illegal, unauthorized rallies create a lot of trouble for the citizens," he noted.
The spokesman explained that, first and foremost, they "created and continue to create huge discomfort for those who, unfortunately, came to take part in these illegal actions."
Unauthorized rallies in support of blogger Alexey Navalny took place in Moscow and other major cities on January 23 and 31. The law enforcement warned that participation in an unauthorized event carries a legal responsibility. During Moscow's January 23 rally, almost 2,000 people were apprehended.
