MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov disagrees that the large number of apprehensions during unauthorized rallies could be called repressions.
"There are no repressions, there are only measures taken by the police against the violators of law - against participants of unauthorized rallies," the spokesman said Thursday.
According to the spokesman, these people, "some of them willingly, some of them being victims of provocateurs that disseminated all kinds of calls to partake in illegal rallies - participated and were apprehended by the police and National Guard officers during those rallies."
"There are no repressions; in this case, I cannot agree with such excessively emotional assessments," Peskov underscored.
