MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Residents of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics are in need of coronavirus vaccines, and no one, except for Russia, will supply these vaccines there, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday when asked when the Russian vaccine will be delivered to Donetsk and Lugansk.

"Of course, people there need a vaccine too, no one will supply it there, if we do not do that," he said.

The Kremlin spokesman confirmed that "there will be deliveries there too," but advised to contact the government for more information on possible dates.

Donetsk and Lugansk earlier said that they expected the Russian vaccine to be delivered there in January 2021. Risk groups, including healthcare workers and certain groups of law enforcement officers, will be given an opportunity to be inoculated first.
