Kremlin concurs with Lavrov that Ukrainian regime reminiscent of Nazis

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov castigated the current Ukrainian regime likening them to their pro-Nazi predecessors of WWII

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov agrees with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement claiming that the current Ukrainian regime is similar to that of neo-Nazis.

"Some manifestations of neo-Nazism in Ukraine are obvious and undeniable, to our great disappointment," the Kremlin spokesman said, commenting on the statement Lavrov made during the interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station. "In this regard, such an estimation of the activities of the government, which condones manifestations of neo-Nazism and turns a blind eye to it, is fair."

Peskov expanded on what he means by "neo-Nazi manifestations". "It is the fact that neo-Nazis do not hide their positions at all, they publicly proclaim their opinion on some [events], they glorify Nazis, talk about their commitment to the Nazi ideology. These manifestations are very well-known and notorious all over the world, it’s not a secret to anybody," the Russian presidential spokesman added.

Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the current Ukrainian regime is similar to that of neo-Nazis. When asked why Moscow is not severing ties with Kiev, Lavrov stressed: "We have relations with the Ukrainian state; the Ukrainian state is much bigger and more important for us than that regime, which is currently in power thanks to the West’s betrayal of all norms of the international law and international behavior."
