MOSCOW, August 21. /TASS/. The United States is insisting on expanding sanctions against North Korea at the United Nations Security Council but they are bound to fail to have it done, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday.

"The United States is seeking to push its anti-North Korean policy through the United Nations Security Council Committee, insisting on expanding its sanction lists. It won’t work," he stressed.
