Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar have held talks in Moscow
MOSCOW, August 17. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar held talks in Moscow on Friday to discuss topical regional security issues, the situation in Syria, and bilateral cooperation.
"Special attention was paid to discussing ways of achieving fast settlement of the humanitarian situation in Syria, including the return of refugees," the Russian Defense Ministry told the media.
Among other things Shoigu and Akar touched upon cooperation between Russian and Turkish defense ministries.
"The meeting was constructive," the ministry said.
