Russia, Kazakhstan find balanced solutions in difficult international situation — Lavrov

ASTANA, July 10. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan, being strategic partners, find balanced solutions in the complicated international situation taking into account the two countries’ interests, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in his message of congratulations to his Kazakh counterpart Kairat Abdrakhmanov on the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration between Russia and Kazakhstan on Eternal Friendship and Alliance Oriented Towards the 21st century.
The press service of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry reported on Monday that the two top diplomats exchanged messages of congratulations expressing confidence that multifaceted bilateral cooperation in the interests of strengthening friendship between the two peoples would continue.
Lavrov noted that the implementation of the Declaration’s core principles ensured the progressive development of relations between Russia and Kazakhstan and a qualitatively new level of alliance and strategic partnership. "In the current complicated international situation, this approach makes it possible to find well-balanced solutions that fully consider the interests of both countries," Russia’s top diplomat stressed in his message of congratulations.
For his part, Kazakhstan’s foreign minister emphasized that the signing of the declaration created the conditions for stepping up cooperation and comprehensive interaction between the two countries outlining the allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia for the first time. "Over that period of time, the Declaration has become a reliable basis for strategic partnership between our countries. Today, relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are developing steadily and dynamically, while cooperation is deepening in all areas," Abdrakhmanov stressed.
