SOCHI, May 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to meet with Russia’s new government early next week, acting presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
"[Prime Minister] Dmitry Medvedev will be back here (in Sochi) on Friday and will meet with the president prior to his meeting with [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel. The names [of the new cabinet members] will be announced. The meeting will probably be quite long," he said.
"The first meeting with the government is highly likely to be held in Moscow. Naturally, it will take place after Friday," he said, adding that most probably such a meeting would be held prior to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum opening on May 24.
Earlier in the day, Medvedev presented to Putin his vision of the structure of the country’s new government. The president supported the premier’s initiatives and put his signature under a relevant decree.
